IIRO A. AHOKAS (M.A.) is a Finnish designer who works internationally as a freelancer on contemporary product and pattern design. His work is focused on creating holistic lifestyle concepts, homeware collections, and high-profile interior objects. The range of his design products varies from handcrafted unique objects to those manufactured industrially. Ahokas seeks to create a bold, alternative and dynamic design language to communicate his ideas through various materials and forms of design. DYNASTY SERIES

DYNASTY series is a limited edition of signed collectables (bowls) in black hand polished porcelain with hand painted carat gold enamel.

The objects are inspired by luxury and perfection in craftmanship. The thematic content of DYNASTY objects is in the symbolism, characteristics, and material aesthetic values of

porcelain and gold as historically precious materials.

The time-consuming process of producing a porcelain object of high quality, that is created completely by hand, requires of professional technical craftmanship, material know-how, patience, and accuracy.

During the process the objects are fired, gilded and glazed multiple times in precise temperatures. Hours of subtle hand polishing must be done between the firings in order to achieve a high level of finishing, exclusive smooth surface, and accurate details.
