The new Mila Chair & Stool by Franco Crea

Designed by Franco Crea, the Mila range has already gained huge respect in the design industry. Starting with the Mila table, Franco Crea has now expanded his collection with the Mila chair and Mila stool. These pieces retain the core visual language of Mila, but with a twist of their own character.

The Mila chair

The stunning new Mila chair is classically proportioned and handily available with or without armrests. Designed and made in Australia, One of the most striking aspects of the chair is the appearance of the backrest to be almost floating, delicately attached to the back of the rail. This was made possible by the complex, concealed fixing details. The backrest, the seat, and the armrests are upholstered in wool fabric or leather, using a quilting method, which gives four equal sections. Designed to be easily separated from the frame, only when necessary, to allow for reupholstering if needed. The chair frame is constructed from solid American oak or American walnut, and is available in a range of finishes.

The chair seat and frame are delineated by a restrained shadow-line detail, which aids in spreading the optical buoyancy inherent in the construction of the entire piece.

The Mila Stool

With the same purity of materials and classical proportions characteristic of the Mila table, the Mila stool projects a calm yet striking charm. Also designed and made in Australia,

the stool frame is constructed from solid American oak or American walnut, and is available in a variety of finishes. The seat can be made to order from solid American oak or American walnut, or upholstered in wool fabric or leather using a quilting method which results in four equal and elegant sections. The seat and frame are delineated by a restrained shadow-line detail which is available in polished or satin brass, polished or satin copper, or timber.
